Traveling Science Centrum

The Provincial Science and Technology Centers (PSTC) advised the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Calabarzon to give importance to the improvement of science education by increasing its public awareness and popularization. PSTC Batangas also joined the Philippine Foundation for Science and Technology (PFST) and the Department of Education (DepEd) to introduce the series of mobile science exhibits in Batangas. A modular technique is applied by provincial organizers as Sci-Fun Caravan it is called Traveling Science Centrum (TSC). It will be held from Nov. 3 to Dec. 10, 2010 at Lemery Pilot Elementary School, Lemery, Batangas. The entrance fee is P50 per viewer. It will assist viewers to gain access to incessant updating of basic and functional knowledge. Another teaching method considers gender and cultural diversity in reaction to varying educational needs.

Forty two (42) exhibits will be featured which includes 3D Tic Tac Toe, Frozen shadows, Shadow Geometry, and Well of Flowers. This caravan will help the students, teachers, school officials, and administrators of the different public and private schools in the first and third districts of DepEd-Batangas to be involved in an casual technique of learning science. TSC started in Dr. Campos University in Dasmarinas, Cavite City last 1998 from June to July. It then visited the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon while Laguna and Batangas were toured in 2006 and Rizal in 2007. [via pia.gov.ph]
