Provincial Nutrition Communication Network Invigorated

Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) revived the Iloilo Provincial NUTRICOMNET (Nutrition Communication Network). This is to reinvigorate a body of communicators for the dissemination and promotion of food and nutrition information in the province.

NUTRICOMNET is a network of information officers and media practitioners in a province or region expected to educate the public not only about food and nutrition but also about results of studies and current trends in food technology.

Started in 1997, had its last meeting in 2002, now NUTRICOMNET wants to enhance the socio- economic capabilities of many stakeholders through the promotion of relevant information on practical food technologies that can help people improve their income generation, livelihood and quality of food production.
