DOST Invites Entries for Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit

As part of the yearly Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) invites inventors, makers, designers and creative researchers to submit more  entries.

Invention (Tuklas Award), Utility Model, Industrial Design, Creative Research (Likha Award), Student Creative Research for high school and Student Creative Research for college will be the six categories in the said contests and exhibit.

Each region can qualify one qualifier, who will receive cash incentives and a certificate of recognition, per category. The winners in each category will represent the region in the National Invention Contest in July next year.

Forms are now available at DOST regional office in sitio Sudlon, barangay Lahug, Cebu City. It can also be downloaded at ro7.dost.gov.ph.

The deadline of submission of entries will be on July 29 and the regional invention contest as well as the exhibition of entries will be held in Ayala Center Cebu from Aug. 17 to Aug. 19.

The winners in each category will represent the region in the National Invention Contest in July next year.
