A Robot could be a flood detector

During the annual World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Abu Dhabi, a high school team from Central Luzon won the fourth place and they took home the Best Technical Design award. The team had invented a robot that could detect flood.

Recently, a research had proved that agricultural waste from pineapple and banana can be a substitute materials for apparel, home textiles, upholsteries, non-woven and industrial fabrics.

 
Virgin Coconut Oil Benefits

The Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) and DOST proved that Virgin coconut oil (VCO) has no cholesterol content so the public should not be worried. VCO is rich in medium-chain saturated fatty acid which is metabolized in another way from long chain fatty acid or LCFA. So MCFA does not produce cholesterol as explained by Dr. Trinidad, Scientist II of the FNRI-DOST.

 
Muscovado Sugar Industry

Ormoc City has the largest sugarcane plantation. At present, the city belongs to the multi-billion peso industry. One of their products is muscovado sugar. The residents here call it panocha, calamay, or sangkaka. It is a kind of unprocessed, pure, and non-centrifugal cane sugar draped in withered banana leaves in sphere shape.
